The 2016 Mental Health in the Tech Industry survey is represented in an interactive data visualization below. Hover over each representation to learn specific data values and select a State via the dropdown menu to filter the pie charts.

46.77% of the respondents to the 2016 Mental Health in the Tech Industry survey shared that they had a mental illness. Of these respondents, 357 stated that mental illness often interferes with their job if left untreated. In contrast, only 33 respondents stated that mental illness often interferes if treated effectively. This represents the impact of mental health of job performance and productivity. However, the survey also revealed that mental health programs, resources, and benefits are not consistently provided by employers.
